2026 Trends in Outdoor Design: Embracing Warm Tones

Over the last few years, we noticed that demand for beige-toned natural stone has steadily increased. While grey tones remain a strong choice, we’ve seen a clear shift towards creamier colours. This preference is reflected across our entire range, from paving and cobbles to cladding and gravel.

BEIGE PAVING SPOTLIGHT: ZAHRA BEIGE AND RUISHTON PAVING

Zahra Beige has been one of Allgreen’s staple products for many years. This beautiful, hard-wearing limestone is incredibly popular for its light, warm tone and gentle textured surface. Its versatility allows it to complement any space, from urban courtyard to expansive country gardens.

Ruishton, on the other hand, is a premium Indian limestone that lends itself particularly well to rustic settings and swimming pool copings and pavings. With subtle gold and olive tones,  it’s warmer than Zahra, and it has recently seen a notable resurgence in popularity among those who seek characterful and warm finishes.

COBBLES:ELEGANT MALLETS AND TIMELESS STABLEYARD COBBLES

Just over six months ago, we introduced Mallets, a distinctive cobble format unique to Measuring 70 x 400mm and 30mm thick, creating a striking parquet-style suitable for both paving and walling. Their size allows for a wide variety of laying patterns, offering design flexibility alongside timeless appeal. Mallets are currently available in Zahra Beige and Sofia Grey.

Darley Stableyard Cobbles remain another firm favourite. These characterful setts replicate the worn appearance of reclaimed courtyard stone, evoking surfaces shaped by hooves, footsteps, and wheels over centuries. Their timeworn aesthetic brings instant authenticity to both traditional and contemporary spaces.

Lucerne Cladding is an organic stone cladding distinguished by a blend of mid-grey to golden buff-brown tones, and it’s sourced right from the heart of Portugal. This warm, textured material featured in Kilik and Co ‘Save for a Rainy Day Garden’ at Chelsea Flower Show 2025, where it was paired with a pink 3D printed wall, and bespoke terracotta paving - Edlington Flamed to enhance the garden’s Mediterranean character (Photos below by Ellie Walpole).
